According to Daily Post on May 26th, as Muslims across Kaduna State prepare for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the state police command has intensified security operations to ensure residents celebrate in peace and safety. The move comes amid growing concerns over public security and the expected increase in human and vehicular movement during the festive period.
The command said security personnel and operational assets have been strategically deployed to Eid prayer grounds, highways, markets, recreational centres and other crowded locations across the state. The operation is aimed at preventing any form of security breach and maintaining order before, during and after the celebrations.
Special attention has also been placed on the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, where tactical teams have been stationed to strengthen surveillance, ease traffic flow and protect travellers moving in and out of the state during the holiday.
In addition, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit has commenced security sweeps of prayer grounds and strategic public places as part of broader efforts to safeguard lives and property.
Residents have been urged to remain law-abiding, vigilant and cooperative with security agencies throughout the celebrations. Motorists were also advised to obey traffic regulations and drive carefully, while parents were encouraged to monitor their children and discourage reckless behaviour during the festivities.
