Honourable Kefiano Wungak has officially received his Certificate of Return as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Plateau State, marking a significant milestone ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
According to a statement shared by Wungak on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the presentation of the Certificate of Return formally confirmed his emergence as the party’s flagbearer. The ceremony attracted several prominent PDP leaders and stakeholders, reflecting the party’s support for his candidacy.
Among those in attendance were Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, PDP National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, alongside other PDP candidates and party stakeholders from across the country.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, Wungak expressed appreciation to the PDP leadership and members for entrusting him with the governorship ticket. He described the occasion as a major milestone in his political journey and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The governorship candidate also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with party leaders, supporters, and the people of Plateau State to promote good governance, unity, and sustainable development. He expressed optimism about the PDP’s chances in the forthcoming election, stating that the party remains focused on delivering effective leadership and addressing the needs of the people.
