The historic accord will officially be signed this coming Friday, June 19, 2026, in Switzerland.
The announcement was first made early Monday local time by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country has served as a central mediator in the high-stakes negotiations alongside Qatar.
Shortly after, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the development from Washington, declaring a formal end to the hostility and ordering the immediate rollback of intense naval blockades.

Taking to the social media platform X, the Pakistani Prime Minister outlined the immediate, sweeping scope of the diplomatic breakthrough:
“Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.”

“The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. Highlighting the immediate lifting of the U.S. Navy’s economic stranglehold on Iranian ports, Trump expressed immense relief and issued a direct order to global merchant fleets.
