Speaking during an interview on the Lucky Udu Experience, Nsofor explained that he tried to appeal to the kidnappers by telling them he was a man of God, hoping they would show compassion and spare him.
However, according to him, the kidnappers became even more hostile after hearing his statement.
Nsofor said the gang leader threatened to kill him and reportedly accused religious leaders of constantly praying against kidnappers and wishing for their deaths.
He further revealed that the abductors mocked his faith, insisting that if he were truly a man of God, divine intervention would have prevented him from falling into their hands.
Recalling the encounter, Nsofor stated: “He said if actually I was a man of God, God would not have allowed me to enter into their hands, that God would have delivered me from their hands.”
