In a recent interview on KaaTruths, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee and a human rights activist, commented on the political relationship between former Anambra State governor Peter Obi and the current governor of the state, Charles Soludo.
Oruche argued that political rivalries and disagreements are common in democratic systems, particularly among influential figures who command significant public attention. She maintained that such differences should be viewed within the broader context of political competition and governance.
Speaking during the interview, Oruche stated, “It will interest you to know that Governor Charles Soludo does not want to see Peter Obi.” She made the remark while discussing Obi’s political standing and his relationship with some political actors in Anambra State.
According to her, despite political disagreements, Obi’s influence continues to attract public attention both within and outside Anambra State. She argued that the former governor remains a prominent figure in national politics and continues to be the subject of intense debate among supporters and critics alike.
Oruche further suggested that political differences should not overshadow objective assessments of leaders’ records and achievements. She emphasized that public officials should ultimately be evaluated on their performance and contributions to development.
The activist also noted that disagreements among political figures are not unusual and should not distract citizens from issues affecting governance, security, and economic growth.
She concluded by urging Nigerians to focus on policies and leadership outcomes rather than personal or political disputes, stressing that the country’s future depends on informed and issue-based political engagement.
