Igho Akeregha has rejected the government’s description of the recent release of abducted schoolchildren as a “rescue,” saying the term does not match how the children actually reappeared.
Speaking on SYMFONI TV, Akeregha said, “I must correct that description. There was no rescue. I do not agree that it was a rescue operation. They were released. Government itself has used the terms ‘released’ and ‘rescued’ interchangeably.”
He acknowledged that security forces were involved in bringing the children out of the forest, but insisted key details still needed explaining. “Yes, our security forces entered the forest and supervised the retrieval of the victims. But there are questions,” he said.Catch d Full Content Here
