According to a report by Daily Post on May 3, 2026, while overseeing the peaceful proceedings alongside various electoral monitors she stated, the consensus congress was conducted orderly, leading to the election of Kabiru Moyi as the state chairman. Hajiya Hadiza Balarabe, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, led the delegation from the national headquarters. Other key positions filled during the exercise included the vice chairman, secretary, auditor, and the publicity secretary.
Governor Dauda Lawal expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the congress, describing it as a vital step toward securing victory for the party in 2027.
