Pearse made the remarks during an interview broadcast on Arise TV, where he addressed controversies involving prominent figures within the opposition party.
He explained that the apex court’s ruling has clarified the legality of disciplinary actions previously taken against certain members, bringing an end to months of uncertainty and internal disagreements.
According to him, the court affirmed the suspension and expulsion of Nyesom Wike and Iyorchia Ayu, a decision he said definitively settles disputes over their status in the party.
Pearse argued that the judgment leaves no room for further contestation and establishes a clear legal position that party members are expected to respect.
He noted that the ruling strengthens the authority of the PDP’s internal structures and validates decisions taken before the party’s disputed convention.
In his view, any subsequent claims or actions by those affected no longer hold legitimacy within the party’s framework, as the Supreme Court’s decision serves as the final arbiter on the matter.
Pearse further stated that the development offers the PDP an opportunity to move beyond internal divisions and focus on rebuilding cohesion ahead of future elections.
He stressed that resolving leadership disputes remains essential to restoring public confidence and reinforcing the party’s standing as a leading opposition force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
