In a recent statement via his official X account, Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has engaged in a heated exchange with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Segun Showunmi.
“My dear aburo @SegunShowunmi, I am shaking and trembling at your empty threat. I have my receipts on charlatans like you. Stripped of all embellishments, you are only powered by an Alternative Stomach Infrastructure. Your almajiri bowl is getting bigger by the day and is visible even to the blind! #elebiofebi,” he wrote
In his post, Ibe dismissed what he described as threats and criticisms coming from Showunmi and argued that the remarks directed at him lacked substance and accused the PDP figure of relying on weak arguments and personal attacks rather than engaging in meaningful political debate.
Ibe further claimed that he possesses evidence to counter allegations made against him, suggesting that his critic’s position is not grounded in facts, he portrayed Showunmi’s comments as part of a broader pattern of misinformation and political hostility that has characterised recent exchanges among party members and affiliates.
The Atiku aide used the opportunity to question Showunmi’s political standing and influence, he implied that his opponent’s relevance is driven more by opportunistic alignment than by consistent ideological contributions to national discourse, according to Ibe, such tendencies weaken constructive engagement within the political system.
