According to a report by Punch on Monday, June 22, 2026, the Ogun State Police Command has recovered the Lexus RX300 belonging to late retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, who was recently killed alongside her security guard at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Owode-Egba.
The recovery was announced on Monday by the Command’s spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, who also disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, visited the scene of the incident to assess the progress of the ongoing investigation.
According to the police, the commissioner’s visit was aimed at reviewing efforts being made to uncover the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the retired broadcaster and her guard.
During the inspection, CP Ojajuni examined the crime scene and received updates from investigators handling the case. He assured residents that the command remains committed to identifying and arresting those responsible for the killings.
The police further revealed that the Lexus RX300 earlier reported missing from the victim’s residence was successfully recovered by operatives during a night operation. The vehicle has since been secured as part of the investigation.
CP Ojajuni sympathized with the family of the deceased and reassured the public that all available resources are being deployed to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
The tragic incident occurred at Mrs. Oyesiku’s residence in Owode-Egba, where she and her security guard were found dead. Police investigations began after concerned residents reported suspicious activities around the property.
Initial findings indicated signs of forced entry into the house. Investigators discovered the security guard dead at his duty post, while Mrs. Oyesiku’s body was later found inside the residence.
The Ogun State Police Command said investigations are continuing and urged members of the public with useful information to come forward to assist law enforcement authorities.
