A fresh political warning has emerged ahead of the 2027 general elections as the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, expressed doubts over the chances of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a video shared on his official Facebook page on May 29, 2026, Ayodele questioned the growing confidence within the ruling party, insisting that President Bola Tinubu’s re-election path may not be as smooth as expected.
According to him, the 2027 presidential contest could be highly unpredictable, warning that political developments between now and the election may significantly reshape voter sentiment.
“Are you sure the APC will win in 2027? President Tinubu’s victory is dicey,” he stated.
His remarks have continued to generate reactions across Nigeria’s political space, with supporters of both the ruling party and opposition figures weighing in on the implications of such early predictions.
The All Progressives Congress, which currently controls the federal government, is already facing early scrutiny over internal unity, governance performance, and shifting alliances as political preparations for 2027 gradually intensify.
President Bola Tinubu, in office since 2023, remains at the center of Nigeria’s political landscape, with his administration’s economic reforms continuing to attract both support and criticism.
