He further referenced the implications of the appeal court’s decision, pointing out that it stemmed directly from an appeal filed by the ADC. He explained that the court subsequently issued directives, including an order for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain the “status quo ante bellum,” meaning the situation should remain as it was before the dispute arose until further legal clarification.
In his words during the interview, he stated: “I would advise the ADC to comply with the judgement of the appeal court, because it was their appeal that led to the decision of the appeal court to direct INEC to maintain status quo antebellum.”
