The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ambassador Dare Bejide has criticized the governorship election that was conducted in Ekiti state.
This statement was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of ARISE NEWS on Monday, June 22, 2026.
This is coming after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC announced the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Biodun Oyebanji as winner of the Ekiti state governorship election.
In the video that surfaced online, Dare Bejide accused the All Progressive Congress, APC of vote buying. He said he won’t accept the outcome of the election.
Here is what Dare Bejide said;
“I reject the results. The APC brought enormous cash to share in all the polling units and that caused a lot of confusion. There were instances where the cash was seized from them but after negotiating with security agencies, the money was returned back to them”.
