The African Democratic Congress, ADC was recently singled out for special knocks over their decision to solicit support from the courts to persuade INEC to recognize the Senator David Mark led leadership.
Senator Shehu Sani, a respected human rights activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, while slamming the antics of the ADC, accused them of hypocrisy.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Sunday April 12th, 2026 he pointed out that the party advised the courts not to interfere in party politics.
However, according to the former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker, the same people who warned the courts not to interfere had gone to the same courts to solicit support in recognizing them.
It can be recalled that the African Democratic Congress, ADC raised serious concerns after the appeal court delivered a judgement, with its interpretation by the INEC not sitting well with members of the party.
Subsequently, several members of the party took to the streets of the federal capital territory, Abuja to register their grievances over the judgement delivered by the court and it’s interpretation by INEC.
