Babachir Slams Atiku: “Fulani Must Rule Adamawa” — Accuses Him of Targeting Omarana Because He’s Kilba, Not Fulani

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal, has strongly criticized what he described as alleged moves by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and some influential figures within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to replace the party’s Adamawa State governorship candidate, Engr. Ambassador Omar Suleiman, popularly known as Omarana.

Lawal, reacting to media reports suggesting that efforts were underway to substitute Omarana with another aspirant ahead of the 2027 governorship election, accused Atiku of pursuing what he termed a political agenda that favors Fulani dominance in Adamawa politics.

Speaking with TGNEWS, Lawal alleged that Omarana was being targeted not because of performance or popularity concerns, but because he is from the Kilba ethnic group and not Fulani.Watch Video/Continue Reading
