According to Fox Tv on Sunday, June 7th 2026, former CIA station chief and Fox News contributor Dan Hoffman has warned that Iran’s negotiating posture is part of a broader strategic plan to reduce U.S. influence in the Middle East and globally. Speaking on Thursday, Hoffman emphasized that Tehran’s objectives extend beyond immediate nuclear and regional concerns.
“And look, the Iranians aren’t interested in negotiating. They’re interested in reducing or eliminating altogether U.S. influence in the Middle East. That’s their big strategic play,” Hoffman said, framing Iran’s actions as part of a long-term geopolitical strategy rather than a series of isolated incidents.
Hoffman highlighted the broader network of alliances Iran maintains with global powers. “And remember, they’re a part of the axis of dictatorships supported by their allies, Russia and China. And those two nations, our adversaries, want the same thing—to limit U.S. influence globally,” he explained, noting the coordinated nature of challenges facing Washington on multiple fronts.
