In a video broadcast by Arise News on Thursday, June 4, 2027, a resident of Adama Dutse in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State recounted the traumatic experience he endured during a deadly bandit attack on the community.
The testimony comes amid ongoing efforts by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) to rebuild homes and structures destroyed during repeated attacks on the area by armed groups.
The incident also follows renewed calls by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies to adopt more effective strategies in addressing insecurity across the country.
Speaking anonymously in the video, the resident described how he lost his father during one of the attacks. According to him, the bandits were searching for him and questioned his father about his whereabouts.
He said his father repeatedly told the attackers that he did not know where his son was. The response reportedly angered the gunmen, who then shot him.
Recalling the painful moment, the resident said, “On that very day, they killed my dad. They were asking him, ‘Where am I?’ and he told them he did not know where I was. That was when they shot him.”
His account highlights the devastating impact of bandit violence on communities in Kaduna State, where many families have suffered losses, displacement, and destruction of property as a result of persistent attacks.
