The Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state following his emergence as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
Danladi, in a statement personally signed by him on Saturday, described his emergence as a great honour and responsibility, pledging to sustain the developmental strides and progressive legacy of the AbdulRazaq administration.
He thanked President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to strengthening democratic governance across the country, saying the President’s support for progressive ideals continues to inspire confidence among Nigerians.
The Speaker also paid glowing tribute to Governor AbdulRazaq for what he described as his visionary and transformational leadership which has repositioned Kwara State through massive infrastructural development, improved healthcare delivery, education reforms, youth empowerment and inclusive governance.
Danladi said the governor’s achievements have laid a strong foundation for sustainable growth and development in the state.

“I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me by our great party and the good people of Kwara State. I sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the entire APC family in Kwara State for their support and trust,” he said.

He also commended party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women groups and loyal supporters of the APC across the 16 local government areas for their steadfast commitment to the party.
Danladi also extended an olive branch to other aspirants who participated in the party’s gubernatorial process, describing them as committed stakeholders whose contributions and sacrifices remain vital to the growth of the APC in Kwara State.
He urged all aggrieved members and their supporters to close ranks and work together in the collective interest of the party and the development of the state, stressing that unity, reconciliation and shared commitment would be crucial to the APC’s success in future elections.
The APC gubernatorial candidate assured Kwarans of his readiness to serve with dedication and continue the administration’s legacy of people-oriented governance and infrastructural renewal.
According to him, his administration would consolidate on the gains already recorded by the AbdulRazaq-led government while prioritising economic growth, human capital development, security and social inclusion.
Danladi called for unity among party members and urged residents of the state to support the APC in its resolve to build a more prosperous and united Kwara.
