According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Monday, May 04, 2026, Iranian state-affiliated media has reported heightened rhetoric from a military source linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), issuing a stern warning to the United Arab Emirates amid rising regional tensions.
According to the Tasnim News Agency, the unnamed military official cautioned that any alignment by the UAE with Israel or what he described as “unwise” actions could prompt a forceful Iranian response targeting Emirati interests.
“No official threat has so far been announced by the Emiratis,” the source said in remarks carried by Tasnim. “But if the Emiratis become a plaything of Israel and make a wrong move, they will learn a lesson they will never forget.”
The source further warned that any perceived hostile action would expand the scope of potential targets. “If the UAE takes any unwise action, all its interests will become targets for Iran, and no part of Emirati facilities will be safe,” the statement added.
Describing the UAE’s geopolitical position, the source claimed the country was vulnerable to instability. “The UAE knows it is sitting in a very fragile glass house, and insecurity is absolute poison for it,” the official said.
The remarks escalated further in tone as the source referenced past regional conflicts, warning against what he called repeated strategic mistakes. “If it wants to repeat the mistake of the 40-day war, we will completely abandon restraint and treat this Zionist nest as part of the Zionist regime,” he stated.
No official response has been issued by the UAE authorities regarding the statements. The comments come amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf region, where diplomatic and security frictions continue to shape broader geopolitical dynamics. International observers are closely monitoring developments for any signs of escalation.
