According to a recent report that was published by VANGUARD on Sunday May 3rd, 2026 Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s ambassador designate to Mexico has blamed the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi for being responsible for the crisis in the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
This came shortly after the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate announced his departure from the ADC amid the crisis that had threatened to cripple the party. However, the former Anambra governor had maintained that his departure was due to political misunderstandings.
However, Reno Omokri, a widely known critic of the former Anambra governor in his statements, pointed out that internal crisis had become a mainstay in any political party associated with the him (Peter Obi).
The former Anambra governor, also according to the former presidential aide was responsible for all the crisis that had rocked both the PDP, LP and recently, the ADC.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC it can be recalled, had been embroidered in deep internal crisis, with certain members dragging the party to the federal court to deregister the leadership of Senator David Mark.
However, after wider consultations, the former Anambra governor deemed it necessary to seek a new political platform, an act which did not sit well with a section of the public as many argued that his incessant defections calls for concerns.
‘In his words’
“Once can be a mistake. Twice may be a coincidence. But after the third time, and then the fourth, it becomes a pattern. The parties are not the problem. Peter is the issue.” He said.
