In a statement released on Sunday through his Directorate of Media and Public Affairs, Bamidele, who also served as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Election Campaign Council in Ekiti State, said the governor’s renewed mandate reflected the confidence voters have in his administration.
He stated that Oyebanji’s second term would help sustain ongoing government programmes and strengthen efforts aimed at expanding development across the state.
According to him, continuity in leadership would play a key role in consolidating gains already recorded in governance and infrastructure delivery.
Bamidele also pointed to the relative peace and political stability in Ekiti State, attributing it to the governor’s inclusive leadership style.
He noted that Oyebanji has been able to foster cooperation among political stakeholders, creating an atmosphere that supports development rather than division.
He further commended the governor for maintaining working relationships with former leaders and key political actors in the state, describing such engagement as a major factor behind the harmony currently experienced in Ekiti’s political environment.
According to him, the election outcome demonstrated broad acceptance of the governor’s policies and direction, as well as the satisfaction of citizens with his approach to governance.
The Senate Leader expressed confidence that the new term would enable Oyebanji to expand development initiatives and deepen reforms across critical sectors of the state economy, ultimately improving living conditions for residents.
He also appreciated the people of Ekiti State for their orderly conduct during the election and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the transparent management of the process.
He acknowledged the efforts of the All Progressives Congress at both state and national levels in ensuring the success of the re-election campaign.
