Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Prof Chidi Odinkalu has spoken about the people who were abducted in Oyo state.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
According to report, the teachers and school children were kidnapped after some terrorists stormed a school in the Oriire Local Govenment Area of Oyo state.
In the post that Chidi Odinkalu shared on his official X handle, he recalled how he did his NYSC program in Oyo state.
The human rights activist stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should ensure that the children and teachers are rescued from their abductors and brought back to their family members.
Here is what Chidi Odinkalu wrote on his official X handle;
“I did my NYSC in Oyo state a little while ago. Oriire is a location in Oyo state. Oriire is also a state of being. In Yoruba language, it means happiness or blessing”.
