Journalist and broadcaster Rufai Oseni has praised the Nigerian military officer, Lieutenant Colonel Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf Yerima, for his composure during his recent verbal exchange with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
In a social media post, Oseni described the officer as “calm, firm, and collected,” contrasting his demeanor with Wike’s, whom he accused of behaving “like a TikTok skit maker.”
The journalist noted that the officer’s response to Wike’s alleged insult demonstrated integrity and self-control, highlighting his statement, “I’m not a fool, sir. I have integrity,” as a moment that defined true discipline and character.
Oseni went on to criticize what he termed the “big man syndrome,” where senior figures resort to age or status to assert authority when reason fails. He said the officer’s behavior showcased leadership and restraint, while Wike’s reaction revealed arrogance and disregard for professionalism.
